About Americas Great Resorts
Who You Are Actually Hiring
Andrew Paul founded Americas Great Resorts in 1993 and is its Managing Director. In 33 years the company has worked in luxury hospitality and nowhere else.
Our clients are independent luxury hotels and resorts, luxury cruise lines, and high-end travel brands. The work is bringing them travelers who do not arrive through an intermediary, and keeping the relationship where the property can reach it again without paying for the privilege.
Four frameworks are attributed to the company. The canonical definition of each lives on its own page and is not restated here. A definition that lives in two places is a definition that has started drifting.

The Work We Publish Under Our Own Name
We publish our frameworks under our own name, with dates attached, and we publish what would disprove them. For ODI the test is stated plainly: if a qualified property runs it and neither OTA share nor direct-controlled revenue moves while rate and occupancy hold, it failed for that property.
The thinking behind it is published and independently indexed. Andrew Paul holds an ORCID, and the KFO paper has a Zenodo DOI. A DOI is not peer review and we do not present it as one. These identifiers connect the work to a named author and a traceable publication record.
We are built for fifty ODI clients rather than five hundred, and we have written down why. It is in the AGR manifesto.
Confirmed, Not Estimated
We report a campaign-attributed booking only when deterministic hashed-email matchback ties it to a traveler who received the campaign. Campaign and booking email addresses are converted to one-way hashes and compared without using plaintext email addresses in the matching process. No modeled projections, no estimated attribution.
Our matchback counts are a measured floor. Exact email matching can miss forwarded offers, phone bookings, assistant bookings, and stays booked under another email address. We count only the bookings that can be matched to campaign recipients in the client’s supplied booking records.
He Sold His Share, Then Returned
Andrew Paul founded AGR in 1993, sold his share in 2011, and retired in 2015. He returned in early 2024 because his former partner, who had carried the company since, could no longer carry it, and asked him to.
He kept every employee. What he found on returning was an industry that had spent a decade getting better at reselling hotels their own guests at a markup. In his own words.
Properties and Destinations We Have Worked With
Some for a single campaign, some for years. We list them so you can check us against names you already recognize rather than take a claim on faith. Six engagements are documented in full, with the starting conditions stated before the results and no discounting in any of them. During a separate six-month Owned Demand Infrastructure engagement at a 250-room property, OTA share fell from 61.7 percent to 56.89 percent and $223,385 in commission was avoided. Every figure, and the method behind it, is published at AGR Case Study Evidence.

Not an Agency
Hotels arrive here after searching for a marketing agency, which is the wrong search and a revealing one. The distinction is the asset behind the work. The useful question to ask a vendor is not what they will do for you. It is what they own. We own the audience, and it took thirty-three years to build.

33 Years, 1 Industry
No second industry and no pivot out of luxury hospitality through three recessions and one pandemic. Everything the company knows is about affluent travelers and the properties that want them.
Named, Dated, Attributable
The founder holds an ORCID, and the KFO paper holds a Zenodo DOI. Our published frameworks identify their author and publication dates, making the work attributable and traceable.
The Audience Is Owned
Not licensed from a platform, not bought per click, not resold to us by an intermediary. Accumulated continuously since 1993 and governed rather than rationed.
Nothing Is Subcontracted
Strategy, audience, creative, deployment, and reporting run through the same hands from first call to final report. No handoffs, no outside white-label partners, no committee.
If You Want to Check Any of This
A hotel evaluating a vendor has almost nothing to work with. Case studies are curated and references are pre-screened. So we publish the frameworks, the dates, the author, the failure conditions, and the numbers we chose not to count. All of it is linked above. Check whichever part of it you want. If you would rather ask directly, Andrew Paul takes those calls himself.
